At an Oct. 21 meeting with Upstate grassroots leaders the Speaker was questioned about his satisfaction with the committee leadership in the House, and his thoughts on who those leaders ought to be listening to. Harrell said he was satisfied “in most of them,” but added that he would “allow committee members to do their jobs–which is to make determinations on who should be there and who shouldn’t be there.”
