Mark Simmons of Central SC Alliance gives a quick overview of two ordinances related to the effort to bring online retailer Amazon.com to the Saxe Gotha Industrial Park in Cayce during the Dec. 7 Lexington County Council meeting.
It was announced earlier this month that Amazon would build a distribution center in Lexington County, thanks in part to a package of incentives for the project. Plans call for a work force of nearly 1,250 by the end of 2013, plus up to 2,500 temporary jobs when demand surges.
