Justice Should Be Ultimate Goal of Solicitors

When asked if the primary goal of a solicitor should be to seek justice or instead convict as often as possible, Richland County Councilman Seth Rose tells a Midlands-area high school class that the chief objective should always be justice.

A prosecutor can help steer offenders in the right direction, take mitigating factors into account and work to help individuals accused of crimes rather than simply seeking convictions, Rose says.
