Viers: The Problem with Gerrymandering

State Rep. Thad Viers tells a Dutch Fork High class why gerrymandering hurts the democratic process. It’s important to draw district lines along geographic lines because, for example, it’s unrealistic to think that, say, Lexington County has anything in common with Horry County, Viers says. Geographic boundaries help create districts that have commonalities, he adds.
