Sen. Brad Hutto, D-Orangeburg, asks Gov. Nikki Haley’s chief of staff Tim Pearson if there was a quid pro quo arrangement between South Carolina and Georgia regarding the Savannah and Jasper ports.
“Some people think that’s odd that here we have an agreement with Georgia to develop a Jasper port yet no movement is being made until the Monday after the DHEC decision and then emails are flying like mad; ‘let’s get this Jasper deal done,'” Hutto says.
