Larry Barnett

Citizen Reporter Larry Barnett was born and raised in Seneca, and graduated from Seneca High School in 1965. He attended Clemson University, then served in the army in Vietnam. Larry received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of South Carolina in 1972, then worked in Saudi Arabia, Algeria and Indonesia for several years. He my his wife in Saudi Arabia, where she was working as a nurse. They have twin sons who are now 30 years old. Larry started an engineering consulting business in 1989 and ran it until 2010, when he sold the business to his employees. Larry and his family have lived in Fort Mill for the past 26 years. He is a member of the Rock Hill Tennis Club, the Charlotte Rifle and Pistol Club, the SC District Patriots and president of GPS Conservatives for Action PAC. He enjoys gardening and recently got his first honeybee hive.
