Lexington-Richland School District 5 board member Beth Watson takes umbrage when fellow board member Kim Murphy raises concerns over members attending an upcoming conference at Hilton Head.

After Murphy says times are tough at present and suggests participating through video conferencing or having board members pay their own way, Watson infers Murphy is out of line to point out cost issues given that she is involved in a lawsuit with the district over a wetlands issue at Chapin High.
