Jamie Murguia
Jamie Murguia is Director of Research for the South Carolina Policy Council. She joined the organization in July of 2009 as a research assistant while attending the University of South Carolina to complete her Master’s Degree in Public Administration (2010). Jamie is responsible for monitoring the legislative session and coordinating SCPC’s research internship programs.
Prior to joining the South Carolina Policy Council, Jamie attended Francis Marion University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Political Science in 2008.
Jamie is married to Javier Murguia, a firefighter at Fort Gordon in Augusta, Georgia. They have a son. Jamie was born and raised in Southern California.
